Welcome to Boston Veterinary Clinic! All of us here at Boston Veterinary Clinic care about your pets, and understand how precious they are to you. We are committed to providing comprehensive care to help keep your pets as healthy as possible. That’s why we’re here; to answer your questions and make our best recommendations for your pet. We aim to meet all of your needs. We offer a wide swath of care for your pet, but when your interests are best served by a specialist, we will recommend that and facilitate the referral. We value and are honored by your trust in us with your pets, and know that trust is earned, not given.
Boston Veterinary Clinic provides preventive care including appropriate vaccinations, nutritional counseling, and endo- and ectoparasite control. We also treat many disease conditions, providing hospitalization if needed. We use both in-house and external lab-services. We also offer a wide-variety of surgical options for your pets, as well as dental care. We provide care primarily for dogs and cats; we can provide information on where you can obtain care for other types of pets (birds, reptiles, exotics, etc…).
Boston Veterinary Clinic was established by Dr. Edward Nowak in 1968, which he ran until 2012, at which time it closed. It was reopened in December of 2014 by Dr. Peter Spinks, preceded by an extensive remodeling with the addition of new equipment to better serve your pet. We met our goal of keeping the foundation set by Dr. Nowak, and adding to it. Dr. Peter Spinks has over 26 years of experience as a veterinarian, and has worked with (and learned from) many other veterinarians along the way.
Choosing your pets’ veterinary care is an important decision! Please feel free to visit for a tour and to speak with us (we request that you call ahead as possible so that we have the time reserved for you).
At Boston Veterinary Clinic, we treat your pets like the valued family members they are.
